TX Series Packet Engine Cards
TX Series Packet Engine Cards
This TX Series dates back to 1997 and some models are still currently produced. The older TX series cards
are all ISA Buss cards. NMS supplied either Fusion 3.x or 4.x as the supporting development environment and drivers.
The models in this series are:
- TX 2000 - The TX 2000 board provides:
- ISA bus connectivity - Each board is designed to reside in a single ISA bus slot.
- MVIP-90 bus connectivity - The TX 2000 board provides full support of the MVIP-90 telephony bus standard, which allows boards to share data and signaling information with other boards on the MVIP bus.
- Daughterboard support - The TX 2000 board could be ordered with a Dual T1/Dual E1 daughterboard for digital trunk connectivity. A 10Base-T Ethernet daughterboard is available for Ethernet connectivity. The TX 2000 board supports the V.35 protocol via a separate daughterboard. A single sub-360 daughterboard is also available to provide additional serial communication controller resources for the TX 2000.
- Variable memory configurations - Each TX 2000 board came with a 4-MB SIMM installed. The TX 2000 can support an additional 4-MB SIMM for a total of 8 MB of memory.
- TX 3000 - The TX 3000 board provides:
- ISA bus connectivity - Each board is designed to reside in a single ISA bus slot.
- MVIP-90 bus connectivity - The TX 3000 board provides full support of the MVIP-90 telephony bus standard, which allows boards to share data and signaling information with other boards on the MVIP bus.
- Daughterboard support - The TX 3000 board could be ordered with a Dual T1/Dual E1 daughterboard for digital trunk connectivity. A 10Base-T Ethernet daughterboard is available for Ethernet connectivity. The TX 3000 board supports the V.35 protocol via a separate daughterboard. Single/Triple sub-360 daughterboards are also available to provide additional serial communication controller resources for the TX 3000.
- Variable memory configurations - Each TX 3000 board came standard with 4 MB of SDRAM. An optional 8-MB or 32-MB DIMM may be added to the TX 3000 board for additional memory.
- TX 3210 - TX 3210 features include:
- PCI bus connectivity - Each board is designed to reside in a single PCI bus slot.
- Ethernet connectivity - Each board contains dual 10/100Base-T RJ-45 connections for Fast Ethernet connectivity.
- H.100 bus connectivity - The TX 3210 board provides full support of the H.100 bus specification. The H.100 bus allows boards to share data and signaling information with other boards on the H.100 bus and the MVIP bus. You can also use MVIP and H.100 compatible products from other manufacturers with the TX 3210 board.
- TX 3220 - The TX 3220 and TX 3220c boards provide:
- PCI bus connectivity - Each board is designed to reside in a single PCI bus slot or CompactPCI slot.
- H.100 bus connectivity - The TX 3220 provides full support of the H.100 bus specification. The H.100 bus allows boards to share data and signaling information with other boards on the H.100 bus and the MVIP bus. You can also use MVIP and H.100 compatible products from other manufacturers with the TX 3220 board.
- Standard 32 MB of RAM - Each TX 3220 comes standard with a 32-MB DIMM.
- Trunk connectivity - The TX 3220 board supports two T1 or two E1 network interfaces for digital trunk connectivity.
- Ethernet connectivity - An optional 10Base-T Ethernet daughterboard is available.
- V.35 connectivity - An optional Quad V.35 daughterboard is available.
The manufacturer did not sell any finished software for these cards other than the Fusion package which includes the drivers for OS/2, NT and LINUX and several flavors of UNIX.
The original customers for these cards typically wrote a software package that would support the VoIP Telephony Integration usages
for which these cards were designed. Then they sold that package along with the cards.
If you have the software that supports one of these cards and need more cards, call us! We usually have most of the variations in stock.
