How to Study the Welcome Chapter
The second chapter of this manual is designed to show you what you can do with Outbound Telenotification, and then give you a brief explanation of how to get it running. Outbound Telenotification is a little different from most other programs you may have purchased, because we have already partially set it up for you, based on the programs you have purchased in your Center Owner package. Well also talk about getting in and out of the system editor and using Help, so you can start looking around the program right away. So after you have read the second chapter, you will know the things you can do with Outbound Telenotification and what kinds of things you will need to do to get it running.
How to Study the Introductory Chapters
The two introductory chapters acquaint you with the concepts of the Outbound Telenotification program and the Outbound Telenotification program window. You can read them at any time, with or without using the computer.
Chapter 4 shows you around the system editor, and discusses the systems structure, and how the elements of the system work.
How to Study the Procedural Chapters
The chapters in section three discuss setting up procedures, and section four discusses modifying procedures. These sections show you exactly how to set up and use your system, then design, build, edit and modify it. You need to be at your computer as you read these chapters.
Chapter 6 shows you how to create and edit phone lists.
Chapter 7 discusses running your system in the Unattended modes. It shows you how to work with both Standard and Polite Unattended modes, and discusses the strengths of each style.
Chapter 8 discusses running your system in Attended mode. It covers the procedures for setting your system up to run in Attended mode, and discusses the strengths of this style.
Chapter 9 discusses how to do the most important thing of all--retrieve messages.
Chapter 10 details the procedures for printing the two system reports.
Chapter 11 shows you how to perform specific operations that modify the systems structure. These procedures allow you to change or add to the system we shipped you.
Chapter 12 describes the advanced program procedures. These features allow you to customize and master your program. Although not all of these procedures are necessary to run your program, they allow you to continue to learn and expand the potentials for your program.
