AG ISA Buss Cards
AG ISA Buss Series - The VBX Series Replacement
This AG Series dates back to 1994 and some models are still currently produced. The older AG series cards
are all ISA Buss cards. NMS supplied either AG Access or CT access as the supporting development environment and drivers.
The most common models in this series are:
- AG8 - Supports 8 standard phone lines, with the DID hybrids installed, up to 8 DID
trunks. Some cards were manufactured with fewer than 8 hybrids installed and sometimes with
a mix of loop sart and DID hybrids. The hybrids are the "blue daughter cards found on the left end of the AG 8.
- ATI 4 & T Connect - Supports 24 standard phone lines, but does not perform any digital processing. The cards are
always used with resource cards like the AG 24's, 48's or 60's. The signals are passed to
the resource card via the MVIP buss connectors on the top edge of the cards. The ATI series may also have less than 24 line interface hybrids.
The ATI cards are most commonly used in older OS/2 systems and the T Connects are more commonly found in NT systems.
- ASI24, S Connect & CX1000 - Supports 24 station lines, but does not perform any digital processing. The cards are
always used with resource cards like the AG 24's, 48's or 60's. The signals are passed to
the resource card via the MVIP buss connectors on the top edge of the cards. The ASI cards are most commonly used in older OS/2 systems and
the S Connects and CX 1000 are more commonly found in NT systems. Most S Connects and CX 1000's support station ringing, which requires an
external 48 VDC/80VAC power supply. Each model may also be found with fewer than 24 Hybrids, creating 6, 8, 12 or 16 station versions.
- AG 24, AG30, AG48 and AG60 - A DSP resource card that supports signal processing for up to the number ports indicated in the model number.
The AG 30 and AG 60 have faster DSP's, but look similar to the AG 24 and AG 48 respectively
- AG T1 & E1 - Supports a single T1 or E1 span, typically configured as 24 channels of voice for the T1 variation
and 30 channels of voice for the E1 European standard. Some later versions also have an RT2 daughter card installed to
support VoIP and heavy Fax and Conferenceing applications. The DIVA card may also be installed on the AG T1/E1 to support speech recognition.
The manufacturer did not sell any finished software for these cards other than AG and CT Access which includes the drivers for OS/2, NT and LINUX and several flavors of UNIX.
The original customers for these cards typically wrote a software package that would support the CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) usages
for which these cards were designed. Then they sold that package along with the cards.
If you have the software that supports one of these cards and need more cards, call us! We usually have most of the variations in stock.
